Jackie Bousek, LCPC, ATR-BC

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor, artist, and art therapist who identifies as a White, Puerto Rican, able-bodied, cisgender woman. The moon is a guiding force for me. After witnessing a total eclipse, I particularly appreciate how the moon reveals only parts of itself at a time. Similarly, I view therapy as a process of selective self-disclosure; with intention and self-awareness, my clients and I reveal ourselves to one another.

ABOUT OUR WORK TOGETHER

I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, substance use, grief and loss, relationship issues, and life adjustments. I use mindfulness, relational-cultural, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches to help people identify their strengths and values. Modeling humility, authenticity, vulnerability, transparency, honesty, and non-judgementalism, I consider how my privileges, biases, and positionality shape my work. I enjoy validating my clients’ positive changes and celebrating their personal victories.
